A Maurtian aji that we found in a shop in the London district of Tooting. The thin-fleshed, wrinkled fruit are about the size and shape of a forefinger, turning from green to red as they ripen. Mauritians like to eat this chilli green, either gently fried in oil or coated in a spicy batter made from chick pea flour and deep fried.
