Broad bean seeds

Broad beans are a type of legume that are normally eaten when the bean is full-sized and removed from the pod. However, if picked very young whole pods can be eaten like French beans.

Broad beans are productive and easy to grow. Depending on variety the seed can be sown from autumn to late spring, with harvests from the spring to late summer.
