When deciding which tomato varieties to grow there are two big decisions to make:

The type of plant do you want: Indeterminate (cordon) varieties are tall plants that will need support and must be pinched out; determinate (bush) plants are less work as they need no pinching out and no support, but they may be less productive and often not quite so good tasting.

The type of fruit you want: tomatoes vary enormously between size, shape, colour and even texture and juiciness. They also have very different flavours, some taste wonderful, others are pretty awful! So choose carefully!
