A must for Eastern European and Swedish cooking, dill is a fast growing, short-lived annual herb with attractive, feathery leaves. It readily bolts so seeds should be sown 'a little and often' outdoors from mid-spring to late summer for a continuous harvest. Though dill is better grown in full sun, it can be over-wintered in a tunnel or greenhouse.
