Capsicum annuum

Sivri Biber is a mainstay of Turkish cooking, producing fruit that are elongated, slightly curved and pointed. The fruit measure 22 x 200mm (making them quite large) and are very mild. The fruit turn from green to red as they mature, but are traditionally eaten green, when the seeds are still soft and tender.

The shrubby plants are medium tall and grow brilliantly both in the ground and larger containers, where they produce early and bountiful harvests.
