Brassica rapa Rapifera Group
Hybrid. A fairly old hybrid (it’s been gracing British gardens since at least 1980) with a smooth white skin and white flesh. The roots are quick to mature – they can be ready in just over a month when the weather is good. Roots can be pulled when they are 40 to 50mm in diameter, but don’t panic if you are slow off the mark: they remain in good condition at bigger sizes, stretching out the harvest period.
Delay sowing outdoors until the first week in June to reduce the chances of bolting, and continue sowing until mid-August. Can also be overwintered in a polytunnel or greenhouse.
Approx. number of seeds per pack: 150
