Description
Solanum melongena
Hybrid.
A high yielding aubergine variety that produces standard glossy, smooth skinned, dark purple fruit that have a plump, elongated shape. The fruit are quite large and should be harvested when about 15–20cm long.
The plants can be grown in the ground, though they are also ideally suited to growing in large pots; in either case they will need some support but require little or no pruning.
