Popular in Italian cooking, Cima di Rapa is a quick-maturing broccoli alternative, harvested for its leaves, flowering stems and small bud heads. Crops are easy to produce when seed are sown directly into the ground from spring through summer. Harvesting begins about 60-days after sowing, when buds first appear on the flowering stems; and should be completed before the buds open into yellow flowers.
Also known as Broccoli rabe.
