Resistafly
£2.50
If your carrot crops often suffer from carrot root fly damage then this is a variety to try.
Description
Daucus carota
Hybrid. Resistafly (aka Tozresis) is a carrot with a reputation – that is a reputation for being resistant to carrot root fly, and independent trials over the years have shown this to be true. In addition, it is a good tasting variety – the Royal Horticultural Society gave it an Award of Garden Merit, describing the roots as ‘having a nice colour and flavour’. The cylindrical roots are long with a blunt end.
Resistafly is not a top yielding variety, but it is a reliable variety that produces a decent crop every time. And if you are fed up trying to grow carrots that end up being inedible from carrot root fly damage, then this is an excellent choice.
