Capsicum chinense

An extremely hot habanero with small, oval fruit that measure just 1 x 2cm. The fruit are distinguished by a strong fragrance and odd colour change:  they are pale green when young, then turn pale yellow before ripening to an ivory white.

We particularly like this variety because the plants can be grown in 1-litre pots to produce neat and tidy bonsais. They can be kept wherever space is tight, such as cold frames, small greenhouses and sunny windowsills.  Bigger pots – up to 7.5 litres – can also be used if you want larger plants that produce more fruit.
