Description

Capsicum chinense

The spreading, bushy plants of this habanero are very good yielders of cone-shaped, often deeply-grooved fruit, 22mm wide and 45mm long. The fruit undergo subtle changes in colour as they mature, going from light green to yellow and finally ivory. They are very hot and strongly aromatic, two traits typical of habanero chillies.

The plants grow well in pots, and are not particularly fussy about the size – anything from 3 to 7.5 litres will do.

Heat level: very hot (approx. 70,000 SHU)
