Description
Capsicum annuum
A dual-natured chilli that is both beastly hot and stunningly beautiful. Its purple- tinged leaves complement the purple flowers dotted all over the plants. The flowers develop into small, purple fruit which gradually change to yellow, then orange and finally red.
The short, bushy plants bring colour to sunny windowsills and conservatories. Grow them unsupported in pots 1 to 3 litres in size, remembering that the bigger the pot, the bigger the plant and the bigger the yields.
