Description

Capsicum annuum

Bred in the States, this chilli has been around since the 1990s. The very hot, deeply-grooved fruit are thin-fleshed and elongated, measuring about 10cm long. They are blunt at the apex, and ripen from pastel yellow to orange and finally bright red.

The medium-sized plants have yellowish green leaves and do well in the ground and large pots 7.5 to 10 litres in size. They produce an abundance of fruit, and will need support to stay upright.

Heat level: very hot (approx. 60,000 SHU)
