Capsicum annuum

Bred by Sea Spring Seeds, Dawn produces masses of hot, colourful fruit that change from light yellow to orange and then red as they mature. The thin-fleshed, skinny fruit measure about 6cm long and grow upright above the foliage.

The short, bushy plants need no support and perform well in containers between 1 and 5 litres in volume. The plants’ small size makes them the ideal choice where space is tight, such as a windowsill or greenhouse bench.

Dawn is the sister variety to ‘Dusk‘, a very similar variety (produced from the same cross), only with purple fruit that ripen to red.

Interesting factoids

The colour change of Dawn’s fruit (yellow to orange to red) makes the variety the perfect match for Dusk’s purple-to-red offering (also bred by us).
Try growing Dusk and Dawn together for an eye-capturing show of fireworks.
