Lemon Drop is a popular variety among sauce makers and chilli aficionados, who appreciate its high heat levels and sparkling fresh, citrus-like flavour. The elongated fruit grow to a good size (about 7cm long), often have a nipple at the tip, and are slightly fatter in the middle. They are green when young and mature to a glowing bright yellow.

Though they like being in the ground, the tall, open plants can also be grown in pots 7.5 to 10 litres in volume. They will, however, need some support to prevent them from falling over.

Heat level: very hot (approx. 56,000 SHU).
