Prairie Fire’s small, very hot fruit are produced on diminutive plants that can fit in the smallest of spaces. The fruit conveniently sit above the foliage, where it is easier to see their display of colours as they ripen from creamy yellow to orange and then red.
The plants are only about 18 to 20cm tall and have a spreading growth habit. Their size makes them a good choice for a sunny windowsill in the house or a cold frame in the garden. Grow them in pots 2 to 5 litres in volume, though if space is really tight, 1-litre pots will do. Either way, they stay small and don’t need support.
