Description
Capsicum annuum
A ‘New Mexico’ type of chilli, NuMex Joe E. Parker produces very mild, thick-fleshed fruit that are large and somewhat dagger-shaped. The fruit measure about 5cm wide and 15 to 20cm long, and ripen from green to red. They can be used at either stage of maturity, and are delicious when grilled and peeled; stuffed; or added to salads, sauces and stews.
The plants are medium-sized and, if given enough support, can be successfully grown in the ground or large containers 7.5 to 10 litres in size.
