Description
Cucurbita pepo
Hybrid. Defender is a reliable, workhorse-type courgette variety that produces heavy crops of uniform, elongated, green fruit. For the best flavour and texture, the fruit should be harvested when they are between 10 and 20cm long.
Because of their colour, they tend to get lost in the foliage, so take extra care when harvesting or you will end up with marrows!
