A high quality, very productive all-female, long fruited F1 cucumber. You can’t do better than this!

Cucumis sativus

Hybrid. A high quality, long-fruited cucumber. Carmen is an all-female, parthenocarpic variety – for information on a ‘cucumber’s sex life’ click here – that produces good yields of seedless fruit with a spineless, tender skin and a sweet, juicy, crunchy flesh. What’s more, the plants are highly resistant to powdery mildew, the scourge of cucumber growers.

Carmen not only eats well, but the fruit also looks great – so much so that it is a popular choice with exhibitors for the show bench. All things considered, it is certainly a hard working cucumber that has earned its place in the garden.

Best grown in an unheated greenhouse or tunnel. For best results prune side shoot weekly.

Number of seeds per pack: 5
