A traditional Bangladeshi cucumber.
Description

Cucumis sativus
A traditional Bangladeshi cucumber.
The rectangular-shaped cucumbers are covered with small black spines and a tough, pale green skin that needs to be peeled off before they can be eaten. The flesh is crisp and white, and is at its best when the fruit are harvested at about 10 to 11cm long, which is before the seeds get too big.
Only modest harvests can be expected when the plants are grown outside, though production is better in a tunnel or greenhouse.
Number of seeds per pack: 10
