Coriander var. Calypso

£2.10

A coriander variety that is considerably more bolt-resistant than all other coriander varieties we have trialled.

Description

Coriandrum sativum

An exceptional coriander that is the most bolt resistant variety we have ever trialled. The plants can stand for two or three weeks longer than Santos, another variety known for its bolt resistance, before flowering. The down side is their flavour is noticeably milder than other coriander varieties – though to some people’s tastes this might be a plus.

Seeds should be sown ‘a little and often’ outdoors from mid-spring to late summer for a continuous harvest. In milder areas it can also be over-wintered in a tunnel or greenhouse. It must be grown in full sun, and should always be well watered. The leaves can be harvested at any stage under a cut-and-grow-again system. Does well in pots.

Approx. number of seeds per pack: 150
