Lactuca sativa

A flavoursome butterhead lettuce that is characterised by its attractive, larger than normal heads.  The plants stand well in the garden before bolting, so from a single sowing a gardener can harvest one plant a day over a long period, making them ideal for the home gardener. Plants are said to have some resistance to mildew. 

The headed plants are good looking and uniform, which means they are also winners on the show bench as well as in the kitchen.

When all its qualities are totted up, Analena proves to be a multi-tasking variety that goes beyond the call of duty.
