Mibuna var. Green Spray

£2.00

A prolific, light green mibuna producing masses of long, narrow leaves.

Description

Brassica rapa Japonica Group

Hybrid. A light green mibuna that is a prolific producer of masses of long (up to 30 cm) narrow leaves that grow upright from a rosetted base. Leaves can be harvested – using a knife or scissors – at any age and more leaves will regrow. This only stops when the flowering stage, marked by the appearance of an elongating stem, starts.

Though the leaves are delicious stir fried, they are particularly good in salads, where they add both a nice flavour and texture – crunchy midribs and soft blades.

Sow throughout the summer for outdoor crops and in the early autumn for an overwintered undercover crop.

Sow from May to August for outdoor crops, and in September to October for overwintering in tunnels and greenhouses. Leave 30cm spacing between plants if you want to  full-sized leaves, closer for the production of smaller leaves.

Approx. number of seeds per pack: 200
