A high yielding, dwarf sugar snap pea producing masses of uniform, dark green, slender pods.

Sugarsnap / dwarf plants

Description

Pisum sativum

A dwarf sugarsnap pea producing dark green, uniform, slender pods. Though later to mature than Sugar Ann (also sold by Sea Spring Seeds), it yields good crops over a relatively long period. The two varieties can be sown at the same time to stagger the harvest over a longer interval.

Harvesting time of sugarsnap peas is flexible, and can begin when the pods are flat and the peas inside still tiny. But for the best flavour picking should be delayed until the peas have fattened up bringing an extra sweetness to the pods. The sweet tasting pods are crunchy and delicious eaten straight off the plant.

The short plants need no staking.
