Description
Pisum sativum
A dwarf sugar snap pea producing early crops of tender, thick-walled pods that are eaten whole. Harvesting time is flexible, and can begin when the pods are flat and the peas inside still tiny. But for the best flavour picking should be delayed until the peas have fattened up and add an extra sweetness to the rich pea-flavoured pods.
The sweet tasting pods have a marvellous crunchy texture, and you’ll want to eat them straight off the plant. The short plants need no staking.
