Description
Capsicum annuum
A very special sweet pepper producing large, cone-shaped fruit averaging about 6.5 x 10cm. The immature fruit are purple with a thick, ivory-coloured flesh. Though an odd combination, contrasting colours look great in dishes needing fresh peppers, such as salads, salsas and crudités. Once the fruit mature, however, both the ivory and purple turn red.
The short to medium tall plants are suitable for growing in the ground and large pots. Though quite small, they will still need some support to stay upright.
