Description
Capsicum annuum
An exceptional sweet pepper producing juicy, thick-fleshed fruit that are cone-shaped and measure about 6 x 8cm. Immature fruit are distinguished by a purple exterior surrounding an ivory-coloured flesh – a colour contrast that livens up salads and crudités. Eventually the fruit ripen to red, when they can be eaten raw, roasted or fried.
The plants are short and compact, and easily fit inside a small greenhouse or tunnel. They can be grown in the ground or pots 7.5 to 10 litres in size, and will need support to stay upright.
