Turkish Delight
£2.20
An early and productive sweet pepper from Turkey.
Description
Capsicum annuum
Don’t be fooled by appearances – Turkish Delight is a sweet pepper that looks like a chilli. The thin fruit grow up to 20cm long, and mature from yellow to red. They are produced early and abundantly, and can be used at either stage of maturity. Eat the very young fruit as a mangetout, and either grill or fry older ones as an accompaniment to a meal.
The medium tall plants should be grown in the ground or pots 7.5 to 10 litres in size. Both the main stems and branches will need to be supported as fruit number and size increase.
- Turkish Delight is part of our collection of Turkish peppers that includes Aci Kil, Turkish Dolma, Rosemary, and Sivri Biber.
- Other varieties that can be eaten as mangetout are Sivri Biber, Friggitello, Bullet and Padron.
