Description
Solanum lycopersicum
Hybrid. Consuelo is superb variety, producing fruit that are juicy, delicious and shiny red – everything a good tomato should be. The slightly flattened fruit are about 40 to 45mm in diameter, making them somewhat smaller than a classic tomato.
The plants have some blight resistance and may perform well when grown outdoors in the warmer parts of the country. Likewise, the versatile plants can also be grown in a tunnel or greenhouse, where they ripen just a week behind Sungold, the earliest tomato variety we know.
Indeterminate (cordon) growth habit.
