Description
Solanum lycopersicum
A diminutive variety distinguished by small, well-proportioned plants with an upright growth habit. They produce miniature red fruit that measure just 30mm in diameter, and are juicy and mild-flavoured.
Because the plants are so small, they are better grown in pots rather than in the ground. Ours reached a height of 25cm in 1 litre pots, but were top heavy and fell over, pots and all. It’s better to use bigger pots up to 3 litres in volume, supporting the plants with canes so that they stay upright.Raspberry Ruffles is a nice little variety that’s the ideal choice where space is tight.
Determinate (miniature bush) growth habit.
