Solanum lycopersicum
Matina is an early maturing, good yielding variety producing standard-sized fruit that measure about 4-5cm in diameter. The fruit are red when ripe and have a pleasantly sweet taste and ‘tomato’ flavour.
The potato-leaved plants are not overly vigorous, making them easy to manage in greenhouses. With its habit of ripening early, Matina is also worth trying outdoors in warmer part of the country.
